Netflix shows and movies continue to top the streaming charts in the Indian OTT space. After grabbing the headlines with Bombay Begums and winning hearts with Pagglait, April too promises to be an exciting month for the streaming giant.
Here is a look at the most anticipated movies and shows coming on Netflix this April 2021.

Based on real events, this eight-episode long crime drama stars Golden Globe nominee Tahar Rahim as Charles Sobhraj, the serial killer who preyed on tourists. Set in the 70s era, the web series follows the conman through his various crimes and reveals the story of how international authorities tried to nab him at multiple occasions to bring him to justice. Directed by Tom Shankland, you can catch this riveting series on Netflix from April 2.

Starring Fahadh Faasil, one of the biggest names in Malayalam cinema, Irul is a whodunit murder mystery that promises to keep you guessing till the end. On a dark rainy night, a couple gets stranded in an empty house with an unknown stranger where they find a dead body in the basement. Watch the movie to find out who is the killer? Directed by Naseef Yusuf Izuddin, it also stars Soubin Shahir and Darshana Rajendran.

An anthology of four contrasting short stories that focus on dysfunctional fractured relationships, it takes a deeper look at themes of jealousy, entitlement, prejudices and toxicity. Produced by Karan Johar, this Netflix Original has an illustrious cast of Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Aditi Rao Hydari, Konkona Sen Sharma, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Abhishek Banerjee, Shefali Shah and Manav Kaul. The four stories are directed by filmmakers Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan and Kayoze Irani.

Directed by Chaitanya Tamhane and executive produced by Alfonso Cuarón, this movie premiered at the 77th edition of the Venice Film Festival and won the prestigious FIPRESCI award. The Disciple, starring actor Aditya Modak in the lead role, traces the journey of an Indian classical vocalist and his quest for following the traditions and discipline of his various teachers as he learns the nuances of the art from them.
